My name is Dara Hoell and I own and operate Sterling Frame Studio.  I am a native of Louisiana and have a Batchelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design from the School of Art and Architecture at Louisiana Tech University. I was a practicing Interior Designer in the Boston area for many years and lived in New England for 30 years.  I opened my first framing shop in 2005 in the town of Westborough, MA, after a period of apprenticeship with a lifelong Boston framer.  In 2012 I moved the shop back to my home state of Louisiana and chose New Orleans as my home. 

I am an active member of the Professional Picture Framer’s Association and won numerous framing competitions which are regularly put on by the Association.  I attend conferences, classes and trade shows to keep current in the industry and I have a true passion for the work that I do.  I love living in this city of art and am fascinated every day by the wonderful and unusual things that wind up in my shop for framing!
